We are seeking the best fit for our team and need a strong music therapist to step into the following position:

Per Diem Music Therapist (MT-BC)

Location: Broward and Palm Beach County, Florida


Neuro Music Therapy, LLC is seeking a dedicated, dependable, flexible, and compassionate MT-BC to join our fast-growing clinical team in north Broward and Palm Beach County, FL. This individual will be integral in helping us as we grow music therapy programs at Broward Children’s Center (north campus) in Pompano Beach and Little Champs Therapy and Yoga in Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.

The most immediate need is help with coverage with week-long summer camps:

June 21-25 from 9 am-12 pm in West Palm Beach with Little Champs
Aug 2-6 from 9 am-12 pm in West Palm Beach with Little Champs
Possible additional summer camps at Broward Children’s (north campus) in Pompano Beach – Dates TBD

The MT-BC will be responsible for providing high-quality music therapy services to pediatric ages with varying neurologic diagnoses and functional abilities. They will be offered opportunities to facilitate groups at summer camps and then one-on-one sessions at facilities and in client homes. There will also be additional opportunities to help create a social media presence (Tik Tok, Facebook Live, IG) and virtual sessions via telehealth.


  • Must hold MT-BC credential or currently is sitting for the boards as a recent grad from a university with an accredited music therapy degree program. Masters degree or NMT credentials preferred but not required.

  • Strong clinical skills in administering music therapy interventions and neurologic music therapy interventions, if applicable

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Self-motivated, creative, and passionate

  • Patient and flexible
  • Honest
  • Possesses a can-do attitude and is a team player
  • Able to be independent with all assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Must have a vehicle, up-to-date auto insurance, up-to-date Florida license, and be willing to drive to clients

  • Weekends may be required (weekend differential incentive offered)
  • Contractors must show up on time to all scheduled appointments and follow through with any pre-arranged calendar commitments to the company and/or families of the client
  • Each position is a renewable one-year-long contract and commitment


Neuro Music Therapy, LLC offers competitive wages per billable hour based on experience, education, and clinical responsibilities. A “billable hour” is defined as 60-minutes. This time includes 45-50 minutes for the music therapy session and approx. 10-15 minutes for documentation and sterilization of instruments. (Please note, a “billable hour” does not include driving in-between client homes/facilities, or driving to/from the contractor’s home.) This position is “as needed” but can grow to part-time (>15 clinical hours) within the first three months with an action plan to grow to full-time (20+ clinical hours) within six months if the MT-BC desires. This position does not include health benefits at this time but provides educational incentives including free tuition to the online Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy after completing 90 days of employment.


Onboarding begins shortly after being offered a position.  This position will begin in June 2021 for the first summer camp. Start dates are subject to change.
